PCH receives bronze from EcoVadis

EcoVadis has once again awarded us its bronze certificate in May 2025. We are delighted to receive this award and consider it an incentive to continue improving. This award represents the next step in our journey towards becoming a more sustainable company. This article explains the background to bronze certification and how we will be dealing with it.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is currently the world’s largest provider of sustainability rankings for companies. Participating companies receive a score following a detailed assessment, which they can share with other participants if requested. This gives everyone the opportunity to evaluate their supplier structures.

Anyone wishing to receive an assessment must complete a comprehensive questionnaire. This covers four areas:

• Environment
• Labour and human rights
• Ethics
• Sustainable procurement

In this process, EcoVadis does not rely solely on the statements made by companies, but also requests written evidence. We are pleased to have been implementing many of the required processes and requirements since our foundation. In many cases, we „only“ had to take care of preparing the relevant evidence. This is how we developed binding codes of conduct for all employees and our suppliers, along with various guidelines on topics such as the environment and ethics.

What are our next steps?

We have been able to implement further initiatives in recent months that have boosted our overall performance. As a result, we achieved a score that is well above the industry average in all four areas.

We do not want to rest on our laurels. We still see further potential for development in certain areas on the course towards silver certification!

By doing so, we are moving towards a more sustainable future, step by step.
